Transition to Fall with Two Simple Decor Items

IMG_8282-scaled.jpg

Fall is in the air my friends. Even if it was 90 degrees today. Oh goodness. But with each morning the air is a little cooler and there is that hint of crispness around. Fall will be here before we know it but isn't quite here yet.

I've been digging through all of our fall decor up in the attic (which is a lot!). And get this but my Grandma IN HER WILL gave us all of her fall decor. If there's one thing she knew it was that these people love their autumn decor.

But despite going through ALL of this stuff, I still am not quite ready to commit to all fall, all the time.

Which is why fall transition pieces are so helpful. A little wink-wink autumn's way is all I need right now.

Here is how I decorate with just a bit of fall mixed in. This creates a simple look that is relaxed and effortless. Which is after all what fall is all about.

Right Foot Forward

First I clean the area to make sure all of the summer pollen and dust is gone. Of course this is a great way to start off the season right. I use the Young Living's Thieves cleaner and love how fall smelling it is.

All the right vibes.

Then I put back my staple items and add in these two things:

Candle

I love using candles in my decor because they warm the room so beautifully and really add a level of cozy that nothing else can. Anything with cinnamon helps to bring the fall vibe home.

Candlesticks bring a vintage quaintness that I adore. I love pairing all of my fall colors with navy because it works so well together with the autumn jewel tones but is unexpected.

Pumpkin

For me, nothing is more fall than pumpkins. So adding one to my fall decor will help me to feel fall-ish without it feeling over the top. It's not overwhelming but it's a breath of change.

And that's it! So easy and simple.

I hope this simple nod to fall inspires you as you begin transitioning to chunky sweaters and all things cider.

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

And here's a special treat for you! I was trying to make a video for y'all and my husband hijacked the thing. It's so funny I just had to leave it...Comedy gold right here folks. Hope this makes your day!
