Saturday Smiles, Frugal February, Day 18
Today was a mundane but wonderful day. Today I was able to spend most of the day getting things done around the house such as:
getting items together for a future garage sale
baking loaves of bread
Grocery shopping
Making foods for a potluck at a friend’s house
Laundry
Cleaning
It was a nice day. Our friends had us over this evening and we had a wonderful evening of fellowship and celebrating birthdays.
When I was shopping I got lots of veggies to make roasted veggies for the potluck. From Flashfood I bought danishes for tomorrow’s breakfast, organic milk, and chocolate milk which has been so cheap that I can’t help but get that for the kids. Any way I can cram protein into my kids, who hate meat, I will do it…even if it is through chocolate milk.
While I was alone today I was going through the banking and found that Nick took the kids out for sodas and subway. While this is fine, it also made me chuckle because clearly we are starting to fall off the wagon, so to say, as we near the end of the frugal month! We have ten days to go and this is hard!
I hope you all had a nice Saturday. Things here have been pretty wonderful and calm. It snowed yesterday and now we are back to just cold and calm.
Have a great evening and I will see you on the flip side…Sabbath!
