Frugal with Friends, Day 21 of Frugal February
Over a year! For over a year now some dear friends of mine have made it a point to gather together for drinks and dinner. Most times we all can get together… Sometimes we're missing someone. Miss you Nicole!
I adore my friends. We are all super strong women with matching personalities. We've seen one another through from the toddler tears to now teen trials and everything in-between. We've brought freezer meals during job loss, hugged lots through divorces, prayed through medical and marriage trials and have really been there for one another. It’s a joy to call each of these women friends and sisters in Christ.
Tonight we have our monthly girls night out planned and I have to tell you that from the get-go, this has been budgeted and planned for in my Frugal February plan.
You may be questioning me, thinking that eating out with friends is not a need…and you would be right. And wrong.
Making friendships and spending time together a priority has been so soul-filling for me. I leave these hours of talking and laughing in the back of a Notre Dame bar where we are old enough to be everyone else’s mother, with so much joy. So for me, this was a need.
My friends also wanted me to let you know that we did in fact go on burger night so a cheeseburger was only $2. So we were being frugal!
Cheers to Frugal friends! And all friends!
