August: Let’s Reset and Restart

August is a good time to get started back in what you know you should be doing but just aren’t.

Summer is a time when everything goes out the window…the rules, the schedules, the ideas to get things organized.

The sun comes out, the weather warms up, and suddenly I don’t care about anything except where my flip-flops are and if I need to flip or not to get an even tan. Perhaps that isn’t all I care about…there is the issue of having enough caprese salad. ;)

My point being, if you are like me then you may have let things slide in the name of recharging and relaxing. It is the summer after all, with not a care in the world so why not let the kids sleep a little more, have more ice cream dates as a family, and spend more late nights cuddled on the couch finishing Miss Maisel (we are not discussing the end of the show, people!).

Now however, with the start of a new school year quickly coming in sight over the hill, it is time to get back into it people. We are currently getting ready for all of the things: new sleep schedules, new school schedules, new school supplies, new lists, new responsibilities. All the new things.

I thought like frugal february, it would be fun to tackle this together.

It’s a good time to Reset and Restart.

To me those things sound the same or almost the same, but in looking them up, they are in fact different.

Reset means to begin with something different. To set with something different.

Restart simply means to start again.

So no matter where you are, with what you need to reset, tweak, reconfigure, and figure out, let’s do it together. Encourage one another and rethink how we handle our every day. Or if you are simply starting again with what works, we can do that too.

What are you needing to restart or reset? My answer is in the comments!
